HISTORY

Life Church have been involved in local farming communities like Somerbosch Farm for the past 8 years and identified the need for a pre-school in this area. It has been a dream to cater for the needs of the children of the farm workers. A school building became available, previously run as Tonko Bosman. It was established over 20 years ago, specifically for the benefit of the farm workers children.  The school initially catered for up to 200 children, but unfortunately deteriorated.  Before the school closed in December 2012 there were only 28 pupils from Grade 1 – Grade 7. Unfortunately due to the lack of sports and sporting facilities as well as having to cater for different grades in one class, the Western Cape Educational Department decided to relocate the children and staff to the nearby Raithby Primary. Life Church negotiated the use of the building with the Farmers who own the land and an agreement for the right of use was entered into.

A place where little lives are transformed with love and support in a professional and safe environment.  Providing children from previously and presently disadvantaged communities the opportunity to receive excellent early childhood development education that will set them up for a successful schooling career, becoming confident adults living life with purpose.  Our heart is to serve and work with the community in giving their children THE BEST START IN LIFE.
